Shadow Financial Systems Included in Leading Analyst Firm’s Securities Processing Systems Report

EDISON, N.J. (November 10, 2008) Shadow Financial Systems, developers of the ShadowSuite global securities processing, reconciliation, clearing, treasury and accounting system, today announced that it was included in Gartner’s MarketScope for Securities Processing Systems Report. Shadow Financial Systems was one of 12 vendors evaluated in the report.

Shadow Financial’s global securities clearing system, ShadowSuite, is a highly scalable on-premise installed software solution for post-trade processing, reconciliation, clearing, settlement, treasury and accounting. ShadowSuite handles all combinations of currencies, financial instruments and transaction types on a real-time, exception basis.

Don Marino, Shadow Financial’s CEO, stated, “It is gratifying to be included with several of our top competitors in a report from Gartner Research, which in my opinion is known for its sage, impartial advice about the world’s leading technology products. We are striving to remain ahead of emerging trends in the clearing space so that our clients can benefit from the most advanced securities processing system on the market.”

Evaluation criteria for inclusion in the MarketScope report included market understanding, marketing strategy, offering (product) strategy, product/service, overall viability (including business unit, financial, strategy, organization) and customer experience. Gartner’s MarketScope provides specific guidance for users who are deploying, or have deployed, products or services. A Gartner MarketScope rating does not imply that the vendor meets all, few or none of the evaluation criteria. The Gartner MarketScope evaluation is based on a weighted evaluation of a vendor’s products in comparison with the evaluation criteria.
