Shadow Financial Systems Announces Details of ShadowConnect

Seamlessly Consolidates Global Trade Feeds into a Standardized Format for Handling by Downstream Systems-

EDISON, N.J. (June 22, 2010) – Shadow Financial Systems, developers of the ShadowSuite® global securities processing, reconciliation, clearing, treasury and accounting system, today announced details of its latest software offering, ShadowConnect™. Designed to be a centralized hub for the incorporation of global trade feed handlers and consolidation of this data into standardized trade execution reports, ShadowConnect can be used in conjunction with ShadowSuite or purchased separately.

ShadowConnect is not limited to any specific asset class; all trades are captured and transformed into a standard message format that can be routed and transformed again for delivery to a single or multiple downstream systems. The transformations are driven by a proprietary scripting language that can be maintained by in-house IT teams. ShadowConnect supports MQ and File-Based direct connectivity as well as various proprietary interfaces recognizing FIX, FIXML, CSV, Fixed Length and Variable Length message protocols for both inbound and outbound messages. At this time, ShadowConnect has interfaces available for the CMEs Trade Confirms, Tullett Prebon/Tradeblade Postmarker API, ICAP Brokertec/IConnect and eSpeed.

Donald Marino, CEO of Shadow Financial Systems, said, “ShadowConnect simplifies the process of capturing trades into back-office systems. We provide standardized connectors to various brokers and exchanges and these connectors can be customized with our scripting language providing flexibility in the way trades are processed downstream. ShadowConnect is a proven tool that delivers value from day one by providing a method of integrating feeds from multiple sources without the need for expensive custom programming,”

Middleware agnostic and highly scalable, ShadowConnect features configurable field and record mappings. ShadowConnect’s corresponding detailed reports include a comprehensive audit trail of imports received, imports transformed, trades received, trades routed, exports sent and other pertinent information. ShadowConnect and ShadowSuite flag exceptions where action is required.

ShadowConnect is available now. For more information about ShadowSuite and ShadowConnect, please contact Joe South, Shadow Financial Systems, (732) 877-6099.
